A word from the managers
We took over the campsite 2 years ago after our first experience, which we loved, at a campsite in the Vendée. We fell in love with this place, rich in heritage, nestling between the river and the castle ramparts.
We love this type of holiday, which we enjoyed with our children and parents for over 30 years before moving to the other side of the counter.
What has always attracted us to camping is nature, discovering new regions, meeting new people, traditions, landscapes, specialities and, above all, the friendly. Seeing the children take the bikes out of the caravan, or having a siesta on a deckchair in the shade of a plane tree, or fishing by the river. It’s a little piece of happiness and peace and quiet for a few days.
Being able to say to yourself, my children are playing with their friends at the kids’ club, my husband is having a game of boules with the neighbours… I can finally read my book that I’ve been reading for 3 months and tonight… we’re going to the campsite’s fun and friendly entertainment or tomorrow we’ll take a little tour of the Troglodytes:
It’s this whole experience that we want to share with you. It’s also the kindness of living in a community, with everyone’s qualities and faults. The snoring, the laughter, the little music for 5 minutes that we don’t like, but what a good feeling it is to reconnect with nature.
